Description
The aim of this workshop is to build both teacher and in turn, student confidence in the knowledge and understanding of numbers for juniors as outlined in the new maths curriculum.
This workshop will look at the progressions required for success in the junior years, as well as effective resources and materials that can be used to embed vital maths concepts.
It will also include group activities, problem solving strategies, games and home learning exercises that serve to reinforce the learning of key concepts.
At the completion of the course participants will: · Develop an understanding of the maths progressions required for student success in the early years as outlined in the new curriculum · Improve their knowledge and understanding of number knowledge expectations for juniors · Identify resources and materials that can be used to embed vital maths concepts · Explore group activities, problem solving strategies, and games to reinforce the learning of key maths concepts
