Description
This course will support teacher aides to understand reading and writing processes associated with the new literacy curriculum.
It will focus on knowledge and strategies to enable them to interact with students in a way that maximises learning.
Sessions will respond to individual needs and address personal challenges faced in the role of supporting students struggling with reading and writing.
At the completion of the course participants will:
· Build capability to work with students in guided or instructional settings · Identify learning behaviours and strategies that support the development of effective readers and writers · Understand reading and writing processes and develop their knowledge and strategies that enable them to interact with students in a way that maximises learning.
